VERSE 1
I get a thought in my head every now and then
And I wonder how to phrase it
We all concerned about the words we use
But not the work we engaged in
Everybody got shit to say my dude
But they choose to stay complacent
Spend more time tryin to ban a song
Then they spend cleanin out their basement
Even if you had a chance to break the chains
You wouldn’t break your phone to change it
You'd just make a face and wait a day
Then facebook about vacation
And you wonder why I’m afraid to post this
When I’m one word away from racist
And you act like you didn’t notice it
When it got worse in front of your faces
Cause even when we know that we far from right
We so wrong that we won’t admit it
You ain’t strong enough to get your family’s back
But ya postin every minute
You thinkin you savin the world with a meme
But ain't savin the folks that's in it
The second you inconvenienced it get convenient
That you ain’t in it, to win it
You in it, cause you need to feel that they get it
Ya kiddin if you think you makin a difference
You do the bare minimum, fake your position
Far from the place where ya face the resistance
Par for the game so you aim from a distance
Sign a petition and say you a christian
You all full of shit and when it hit the fan all the rage it change to crickets
I didn’t ask for your advice
I didn’t ask for your permission
I didn’t ask for you, to give a damn
I just asked for ya’ll to listen
Insteada that, all I hear's a massive mass of passive people bitchin
A flash of division masterminded by a master mathemagician
We all act like we can fix it, what we lackin is conviction
Cause every time we begin to get a win, we start subtractin the addition
HOOK
So put a cork in it
Cause half the charges asperse
We ain’t awake we still sleepin debatin chasin more dirt
You think you woke up, but I’m convinced to change we averse
You don’t ever lift a finger you just make it mad worse
Put a cork in it
Til all the grape’s are filtered
All I do is hear you whinin, think your time is ill served
It’s designed to keep us occupied one stone to kill birds
Are you feelin my malaise I gotta a case a Bill Burrs

HOOK
The truth costs money, and the lies are free
You gotta pay attention they gonna lie and cheat
You gotta pay to play ya gotta find the key
Some of us will pray, some will line the street
The truth costs money, and the lies are free
You gotta pay attention they gonna lie and cheat
You gotta pay to play we gotta find the key
I’m just waiting for the day that we can finally breathe
VERSE 1: Tyler Durdin
Where we going, where we been, where we at hon?
Now every single day is the same, as all the last ones
I don’t think we’ll last long so here’s another sad song
We workin on the weekend so I’m drinkin til the past gone
So pass the bourbon now I’m sure that we earned it
I see the blood on the turf but they ain’t concerned that we hurtin
It getting worse ya feeling worse as a person
Murder, murder every news blurb serves a diversion
A bunch a conservative serpents out there herdin their servants
Sayin they breakin the system but they just changin the version
Trying to cut through all the rage it take the blade of a surgeon
Another day another news feed of hate and aversion
They like ta say that it’s urgent so they can fake a disturbance
Or they can make an arrangement to… invade when it serves em, huh
If I had a buck for every fuck that I wasted
At least I’d know that I earned it, but here I’m stuck in the basement
VERSE 2: Maruchan Chef
Tell me how much a body cost
How you value a soul
Booted up to stomp boots on the young and the old
Untold glory awaits
The silent racist
Master gave you a dollar
Made yo ass complacent
And when we complain and stick up for each other
They picking up guns and shooting up our brothers
I'm tired of the violence but I'm even more tired how we let folks keep wiling
Honestly you a lie if say you aware
Cause if you were
You'd be out on the streets to in a tear
But nah it's all whatcha how I whip McLaren
While muhfuckas get rubber hits for standing there staring
Modern terrorists
Dont come from a land in the east
It's your neighbor in the blue driving up in the streets
It's your husband worth a badge and new people to beat
Its you clutching your bag and crossing over the street

You can turn the lights off, and dim the mood
Or you could turn on the spotlight and get in the groove
I know you, been low, so why don’t we get high
And later you can tell me how we wastin the day time
Why?? When all ya doin is livin enough to get by
Ya bound ta hear me knockin remindin ya when it slip slide
The story never end til nuttin left to get right
All up in your head and it get ta sendin ya mixed signs
...Don’t be mad get even, Why you glad they leavin
Stop lookin sad and weak, you feelin badly beaten
You think yer state of mind is fallin to pieces
Don’t wanna pick up the phone, so ya home, ballin’ in Reese’s
Don’t let em drain all your spirit, I know you don’t wanna hear it
You used to be a sweet kid I wish he’d make an appearance
We play the game of endearment until we tame and adherent
Don’t wanna chance to chase adventure so we lay in the clearin’
Yeah I been standin in the shadows, and it’s a sight to see
But maybe this is where I like to be
Cause I been nice to lots of folks who ain’t been nice to me
And I see better in a dark room, don’t need a light on me...
HOOK: Erik Kjelland
I do what I like… that’s why I find they don’t like me
I don’t need their advice… cause all their rules don’t excite me
We just try-in to keep up but findin time it ain’t likely
So just do what make you happy ain’t no tellin what might be
VERSE 2: Tyler Durdin
Man what you think, you can think what you thinkin
Ya think that I care that you offended when I ain’t mean what you thinkin'
See I’ve been in the deep end with demons breedin’ all weekend
They seize an opportunity they see they gleam on a weakness
While they convene on their beaches a bunch of leechous elitists…
It’s so convenient preachin peace while all the cheaters deceive us
I concede that all these heathens are schemin to lead us
To a place where they can bleed us and delete all our freedoms
…Turn the other cheek dear… ain’t you the sweetest
Now I’m a bad apple cause my trachea deepened
So praise Jesus, if he appeared you’d just call the police
So how am I to believe it that you ain’t all in ta greed
You need to disinfect your closets, we in need a vaccines
Clean up, in every aisle we got rats in the chi
You see I don’t buy what you sellin, so you can keep the receipts
You seem to think I’m rebellin… cause I ain’t seen what you see
HOOK: Erik Kjelland
I do what I like… that’s why I find they don’t like me
I don’t need their advice… cause all their rules don’t excite me
We just try-in to keep up but findin time it ain’t likely
So just do what make you happy ain’t no tellin what might be
OUTRO: Erik Kjelland
Some folks drive at lightning speeds
Others pray for quick relief
Why don’t you do you
And I’ll do me
Something you ain’t never seen

VERSE 1: Tyler Durdin
U think I’m too old for this, too old to rap
Might be.. too old to please.. but I ain’t too old ta nap
Wake up at noon and now I’m feelin the groove
So put some vodka in my lemonade and make it nice & smooth
Turn off the tube, cruise and crank the tunes
Reminiscing with Pete Rock, James Todd and Cube
Son I’m a veteran you’re better off deadin it
Lesson 1 you need practice, I’m the Iverson don’t question it
Play it back, 3 more times and start digestin it
So what’s the answer, are you blind or are you des-per-ate
..Guess you invested, but I’m vested in perfectin it
In fact my imperfections are so blessed they made immaculate
Cause I don’t need a vaccine, a mask, or even abstinence
The only thing I’m catchin at my age a case a flatulence
So ask me this… all you activists and nationalists
Trolls, lost souls, all you laid backs and advocates
You naturalists, climate change deniers, and pacifists
Narcissistic antagonists and sadomasicists
You might be adamant, passive, or compassionate
But if ya passion lackin don’t get mad that you ain’t glad to live
HOOK: Kit Whitacre
Where did the love go
Where do we go from here
We got a ways to grow
This year, ain’t much to cheer
You can go and take it slow
Or you can go and live in fear
Some might say we’re near the end
I’d like to think the end is near
VERSE 2: Tyler Durdin
How come I’m always online but I feel disconnected
Now all the anger inside, I find is misdirected
Trying to fake it, make it through time so pick and choose
The wickedness ya witnessin’ been listenin’ to gin and juice
My money’s on your bullshit your mind get insufficient use
See you ain’t got a notion you just postin’ what you didn’t sleuth
You ain’t got emotion you just coast until you trip a fuse
So you believe the facts that they disguise to wrap the hidden truth
Anxious since my late teens, it made me want to skate on
Lately all the dissonance convinced me I should hate God
I’m peekin’ out my window every step feel like a chase scene
I’m paranoid that everybody left is tryin to waste me
It made me pessimistic I’m convinced we like the taste of greed
You feedin’ off the latest dirt when I’m just trying to rake it clean
…Yeah we divided everybody want the same things
The same car in the same lane, the same rain in the same stream
The same charm, same fame, and the same dreams
So what’s success in essence when we exit with the same fees
We want assistance or we tryin not to say please
That’s why there’s two sides relying on the same teams
HOOK: Kit Whitacre
Where did the love go
Where do we go from here
We got a ways to grow
This year, ain’t much to cheer
You can go and take it slow

VERSE 1: Tyler Durdin
You can take your time… or watch time fly
Are you next in line, or wavin bye bye
You can stand behind or take it sky high
I’d rather be out takin a ride, than watch it fly by
…When I was your age, kid, I never had a phone
You wanna send a letter better leave a message at the tone
We used to be, out and about and now we layin low
Usually we’d go into town, today we play alone
The hourglass is spinnin, the sand is long gone
It’s time to grab, the “oh shit” handle and hold on
I hate it and I bet you do too, but we gettin through
Ya feelin disconnected my concession that it tech-induced
Ya fearin a recession but in essence, it ain’t nothin new
The truth is.. honey there ain’t nuttin that ya gonna do
… Ain’t there more to life, than payin debt and dues
Or wastin time provin you right, even at best you lose
…You confused, well all a that depend on where ya get your news
So never go and follow the trends, when you can bend the rules
I said to you, we all need a… break...that’s why I’m lettin loose
So tell me dude… what’ll it take… for us to get a clue
REFRAIN: Tyler Durdin
You remember me, I remember you
You remember the struggle but dat an’t nuttin new
Member game night, remember old school
Member riding the bus, and now you home schooled
Member high fives, when they ain’t too low
Member wi-fi, when it ain’t too slow
I remember thinkin, we need to slow down
We should go and take a break before it broke down
HOOK: Alex Shade
I wanna wake up
When everything is fine
Don’t wanna go to sleep
Don’t wanna hate the grind
I wanna feel so… free
Don’t wanna say goodbye
You tryin to find your peace
The key’s to take your time
VERSE 2: Tyler Durdin
There’s nothing happy bout a last hoorah
This is it fam I’m past my prime
I’m always feeling like I’m last in line
I guess it’s too damn bad I get no cash to rhyme
I lost my mind and my vision, the will, to go fishin
I’ll still be an addict, in fact I will miss it
To those who don’t get it, that rap is acidic
It opens up the gates that I capped or had hidden
I guess it’s time to fade to black I’m no Riddick
That’s why 99 percent of my fans they won’t get it
Understand I went HAM and I had the ambition
I’m just sad I had to bail when I’m at this position
When it rain it hails and I cashed my last ticket
Getting tired of hearing it “dad you don’t listen”
All that fire that ya had in the past it lack friction
If you ain’t got the heat, then get yo ass out the kitchen
HOOK: Alex Shade
I wanna wake up
When everything is fine
Don’t wanna go to sleep
Don’t wanna hate the grind
I wanna feel so… free
Don’t wanna say goodbye
You tryin to find your peace
The key’s to take your time

The Gripe Club is a Tyler Durdin solo album... sorta. Although Tyler is the main vocalist, he's joined by ovrthro, Erik Kjelland, Maruchan Chef, Alex Shade, and two of his Wolves & Sheep brothers: Kit Whitacre and DJ SIlent Beard.
This album was written and recorded during lockdown. As the name indicates, it's Tyler Durdin doping a bunch of bitching and complaining over some super fresh hip hop grooves created by the talented Canadian producer ovrthro with additional production by some of the guests.
Originally this was something Tyler was working on to keep himself creatively juiced while the Wolves & Sheep "Grey Expectations" album was being mixed... and while we were all stuck inside. Tyler wasn't even planning on releasing it, but Kit Whitacre enjoyed it so much, he helped Tyler clean it up. Yeah... that's why there's soap on the cover.
